Wonderings, ramblings, and chatter of a sometimes pissed, sometimes cheery chick

As we all know, there has been a lot of controversy lately over whether American states should gives gays and lesbians the right to marry, adopt, etc. George Dubya Bush strongly accepts the idea of there being a new law in the Constitution, one that states that the only marriage acceptable is between man and woman. Not a good idea, Mr. President. Now the gays and lesbians of the community refuse to vote for you.

Anyways, Mr. President says that it violates the "sacred covenant with God" (Galatians). Maybe for you, but not for me. It would be a commitment between me and my partner. Isn't there a strict law not to combine church with government anyways? The atheists, anarchists, agnostics wouldn't like that...

"It's a threat to marriage" Who's? Not mine, or yours for that matter.

"Homosexuality is unnatural" I don't think so.. Many scientists have found homosexual behavior throughout the animal kingdom. Ever heard of lesbian seagulls?

Bottom line- To those religious people out there: why not hate the sin, not the sinner? I would have thought that a religious president such as Bush would have opened that moral up already. For didn't Jesus himself say it?

Fortunately, my family was never corrupted by the germanic royalty. I actually know someone high in the Church of Scotland, but when I search for you, the only thing I come up with JoeUser sites, now why is that? Surely a real knight of the Realm would be listed in some official capacity, right?

Hey lone maided, I bet you didn't think this article would start a grammar debate!

You couldn't have said that on a more fitting night, tonight my official website is launched where you may learn of my family history and my enormous wealth. Link

Now be gone with you, Scottish fiend!

ENGLAND & SAINT GEORGE!
on Apr 12, 2004
Your website provides the proof? When I can't even find your name on the online registry of english knights? You expect me to believe that you are a real knight because of a website you yourself are puting up?

Sure

I have explained this many times before, I engaged in the 'opt-out-honours-system'. I value my privacy. Now go away you vile gay rights campaigner. I am sick of peasants doubting my noble lineage, I am sick of peasants lying about their own lineage. I feel you will get on well with Urban Faery.

My site is now live, you may discover my family history there.

You engaged in the "opt-out-honours-system"? Even more believable, especially since every person receiving their knighthood since 1900 is listed in the London gazette, whether they value their privacy or not, and if you valued your privacy you wouldn't be trouncing about on a blog site using your real name, nor would you put up a website which
where you may learn of my family history and my enormous wealth

Bush is right!!! Homosexuality is a sick, perverted, filthy way of life. No wonder homos spawned HIV. Their filthy way of behavior is such that it creates all kinds of diseases. You would think that after all the deaths that AIDS has caused that they would finally repent of their sin and start being decent, moral people. No wonder God burried Sodom and Gammorrah under a pile of fire and brimstone.

HIV came from Gay people? Now there's an interesting rant, you got some proof of that Marvin? Last I checked the best theory on the origin of AIDS was from someone who ate an undercooked monkey in the African wilderness.

Cheers

Oh, and still no proof on "Sir" Peter Maxwell actually being a "sir"
on Apr 12, 2004
Still no proof i'm not a "Sir"

If you have not heard of the opt-out Honours system then you obviously have no knowledge of how things work in reality.Your claim that every person who receives a knighthood is listed in the London gazette is totally incorrect, you are trying to substantiate your argument with a falsehood. The reason i am not in the London Gazette is because i chose not to have my name published in there, please find me the piece of English Law that states a recipient of a KBE must appear in this publication?

I find it rather amusing that you are the third person on joeuser who has claimed a noble or royal background when trying to argue with me. I put this down to you having an inferiority complex due to your Scottish ancestry so you feel the need to invent a glorious history for your family when in fact you are nothing more that a descendant of a drunken Scottish peasant. Scotland is a third world country these days relying on the generosity of the English to sustain their present standard of living.

I'm not using it to argue against you, the thing is, and this is the best part, while I admit there is a system where knights can avoid social notice, the Knight, whether he wants to or not, is kept in records, records that are kept, among other places, online. There is no law stating that a person's name must appear inthe London gazette, nor did I say that every knight is listed there, however, since 1900 nearly every person receiving the knighthood is listed in the gazette. It's generally accepted as the most easily accesible complete list of English knights. Your name doesn't appear there, further, since you are Sir Peter Maxwell IV, someonewho is making a website to publicize his claims to knighthood, this does not speak of the modest person who would "opt-out" of jack didly.

I didn't opt out due to modesty, at the time i was under threat from IRA terrorism die to my military career so i avoided any publicity during the 1990's. I did not wish to be a prominent person during that period as i had already had two attempts made on my life.
on Apr 12, 2004
And the reason you appear in no other records? I'm sorry but "opting-out" doesn't remove you completely from every list of knighthood
on Apr 12, 2004
Have you ever been offered a Knighthood, do you know the procedures?

I can assure you that you can accept a KBE and not appear in any records, you simply lodge your request with the privy council and your details will be withheld from all publications.
on Apr 12, 2004
So, you're saying that you were granted a knighthood, and ABSOLUTELY NO RECORD of that event exists in the world? Then, once the current queen dies, that means NO ONE remembers you were a knight, and so it didn't happen. Alas, all those poor schmos who thought they were receiving a great honour, but wanted privacy and so their name disappeared into obscurity.
